Remember these shorts for Mathilda that I made because I didn’t like what I found in stores?
(read about them here)
Well, Mathilda needed more. And these fitted so well and were a big hit with her – she loved the lace! So, I used the same pattern again (Ottobre Design 3/2012-26) and came up with another version of these shorts:
Again I added a couple of inches to the length and didn’t gather them into the bubble shape. I also left out the side pockets. But I did sew this really cute pre-made shabby rose heart patch on, and I left the top unstitched so that it is now also a pocket.
I also added a ruffle to the legs, with a rolled hem.
Inside is the obligatory ribbon marker so that Mathilda can put them on by herself and get them the right way around.
She really loves these.
